Our annual fundraising event, the Independence Celebration is the primary source of the funds BCA donates in support of our charitable causes. Proceeds of the Celebration are used to fund scholarships to youth pursuing post-secondary education, healthcare initiatives in Canada and Barbados and other humanitarian causes. To date BBCA has donated a total of $284,500 in cash and equipment.

The Independence Celebration is a Black Tie Optional affair that is one of the premier fundraising galas in Toronto. Some 500 patrons attend the Celebration each year and enjoy a gourmet menu, live entertainment by internationally recognized Barbadian entertainers and fundraising auctions that include accommodation at several hotels in Barbados.
